Analysing Bane from The Dark Knight Rises

I think Bane in The Dark Knight Rises will be Batman`s equal in intelligence and strength, basically the Joker was Batman`s opposite he was chaotic and unpredictable. Bane will be strategic in his plans, all for a specific purpose. He seems like a man with ambition. I think Bruce and Bane have similarities, in the comics they both lost their parents at a very young age. Bane had no one to look after him, Bruce only had Alfred. They both felt vulnerable, because Bane had no one to care for him and Bruce had lost the people he cared about. Plus Nolan might throw in a tie in with the League of Shadows as Bruce trained with them in Batman Begins, they might address that Bane also did the same. Again another similarity so Bruce chose not to lead the League of Shadows and Bane chose the opposite. So in a way Bane is how Bruce should have been. Another thing I realised is Bruce fell into a well when he was young, his Dad helped him out. I remember seeing Bane climb out of a well by himself in trailer 1, so he had no parent to help him he was alone. They are so similar and yet contradictory, this is how I think Nolan will play his cards in this film for Bane. I would love it if my observations were true; it would be fun to see this puzzle I have in my head fit together once the film is out.

First, might I say that the ideas stated above are pretty freakin’ spectacular? Because they are.

This recharging of the Batman film franchise has been an amazing ride, and I don’t think I could pick a favorite villain if I tried. Ra’s, Joker, Scarecrow, all of them. They’ve all been so well-cast and so well-acted, but I will admit that I haven’t been nearly as excited to see any of them as I am to see Bane.

Bane makes no attempt to be anything other than what he is: an incredibly terrifying and intelligent villain. He’s long been a favorite of mine because he can’t be easily outsmarted and Batman certainly can’t out-muscle him, so that really limits Batman’s options. It takes a precise combination of both brawn and brains for both of them to stay ahead of the other, and that’s what I love about their dynamic. The most violent game of chess I’ve ever seen.

That, and Bane is the one who broke the Bat. Enough said.

I won’t be here on Saturday because of classes I’m attending on weekends so I’m putting this in advance.

This coming Saturday, it’s going to be exactly 3 years since my Dad left us after battling with cancer.

It still seems like just yesterday when he was still alive. Can’t believe it’s already 3 years now. It still feels like he’s walking somewhere near the house, looking for clothes to wash, since he doesn’t like dirty clothes to be thrown around. I can still hear his voice telling me to study hard, get a good job and do good to others.

This is pathetic. I know.

I miss him, alright.

I’m gonna stop crying now.

Of all the villains Batman fights, Bane is still the one who scares me the most. This is why. I feel nothing but dread and heartbreak, looking at this.
